  19.   This application was written as a RISC OS interface to permit transfer of textfiles from any RS423 source.

  22. Useage
  23. ------

  25.   Click SELECT on the !Download icon will call up a window
  26. called 'Store as:' which has a very similar appearance to a
  27. save dialogue. It also behaves like one! Enter a leaf name
  28. (or path for that matter!) and drag the text icon to the
  29. desired filer window and 'Bing' a window called 'Download
  30. Status' appears. Set up the other machine for transmission,
  31. click 'START' and away we go. The system does not task
  32. while uploading is proceeding because of technical reasons
  33. (ie my lazyness!). Downloading is completed after a 1
  34. second timeout from the transmitter so watch out
  35. for clicking start before you tell the connected system to
  36. 'GO'.

  42.   There are two important options :
  43.  
  44.   CR process : When ticked single CRs will be removed
  45.                (useful for inputing formatted text for
  46.                reformatting in a wp)
  47.  
  48.   Serial     : The leaf window allows the setting of the
  49.                serial transfer rates & word format.
  50.                (Consult the instruction manual of the
  51.                equpment connected via the RS423 for the
  52.                correct values). 'Save' will permanently
  53.                store the current values.

  59.   This application is supplied free to everyone 'as is', I
  60. do not give any guarantee that it is free of bugs, or
  61. supply any warranty about its suitabliliy for use. However
  62. if there are any problems with it and you notify me of them
  63. then I probably will do my best to recify them.

  65.   You are may give this application to anyone, via any
  66. medium, so long as :- 
  67.  
  68.   1) It is delivered with ALL the supplied files and
  69.      unaltered (except !Run & !Boot files) .
  70.  
  71.   2) It is not supplied on a disc you are charging
  72.      for (except for media and postage costs).
  73.   
  74.   You have permission to use any part or the whole
  75. application in a project you intend to place in the public
  76. domain, as long as I am fully credited. If you wish to use
  77. these routines in a program that is for sale (for however
  78. much and for whatever reasons) or released as copyright
  79. material then my express permission in writing must be
  80. obtained. I maintain copyright on all the material
  81. supplied and reserve the right to amend these conditions in
  82. cases where I deem misuse.

  85. production and maintenance of this application and although
  86. I have supplied the application free donations will be
  87. gratefully received (and if over 7 pounds I will send you a
  88. disc with updates of this and all other pd stuff I have
  89. written. Please include a letter telling me which apps of
  90. mine you use and their version numbers).
